Executive Leadership
Craftsman Technical Companies is led by CEO Karen Cox, whose background is in operational excellence and standards at RosettaNet, Texas Instruments, Vodafone, and Fujitsu; Executive Chairman Plamen Jordanoff, who brings to the board his experience running multinational building-materials companies and his Harvard and INSEAD degrees; and President Jeremy Cox, a specialist in developing technical businesses.
Karen Cox
Karen Cox is the CEO of Craftsman Technical Companies. She is responsible for all facets of operations, strategy and execution, establishing corporate standards and risk mitigation programs, and providing the structural foundation to ensure customers continue to have the highest quality experience when working with Craftsman.
Appointed in 2025 after two years as Craftsman’s COO, Karen has been instrumental in leading Craftsman’s national expansion into the Energy-to-Compute (E2C) and mission-critical data center infrastructure markets.
Karen brings over 20 years of operational excellence from the industrial technology sector. She was previously VP of Americas Strategy & Operations at IoT.nxt (a Vodafone company), where she led the strategic market entry and expansion of the international enterprise IoT leader into the Americas.
Prior to IoT.nxt, she held senior leadership roles across Fujitsu Americas, Texas Instruments, and RosettaNet (a GS1 Company), bridging the gap between digital intelligence and physical infrastructure in semiconductors and cybersecurity.
She was a charter proponent of the OASIS Electronic Procurement Standardization Technical Committee. Her work in establishing electronic business standards for technical information exchange is still used across the semiconductor industry today.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in computer science from Texas A&M University-Commerce, with minors in accounting and mathematics. She was in the first class of women to graduate with a computer science degree in Texas. She also holds Cornell University certificates in change leadership and business strategy.
Plamen Jordanoff
Plamen chairs the board and oversees Craftsman’s corporate strategy, capital allocation, and acquisitions.
Plamen was CEO and President of Hanson Building Products North America and the United Kingdom. He previously led Hanson’s North American building-products business, with earlier operating responsibility for marine aggregates and national contracting. After HeidelbergCement acquired Hanson, he led strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and cementitious materials for the combined group, a publicly traded company. He came to Hanson from L.E.K. Consulting, where he worked on building-materials strategy. His experience guides how Craftsman grows and scales.
Plamen holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Jeremy Cox
Jeremy leads Craftsman Technical Companies’ investment and expansion strategy. He finds overlooked technical markets and builds businesses to serve them, combining research, service development, brand positioning, and sales.
His career began in the early 2000s at Universal Music Group. He later ran a company that produced audio and marketing assets for brands including Prada, Celine, Kenzo, and Telfar, and for the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and Tate Britain.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science from Baruch College, City University of New York.
He has young-onset Parkinson’s disease and is a participant in a first-in-human gene therapy trial for the disease. He maintains a prominent public profile as an advocate for the Parkinson’s community and for clinical trial participants.
